You already pay for Microsoft. Let me help you actually use it.
I design and build business applications on Microsoft 365 and the Power Platform — shaped around how your company actually works, not around a vendor's price list.
I'm Petr Skála. I take projects on myself, from the first conversation through to deployment and everything after. You always know exactly who is building your system and who you are talking to.
Most companies don't need more software. They need the software they already have to hold together.
The three problems I solve most often
In most companies I walk into, the problem isn't a shortage of tools. There are too many, and nobody knows which one is right. I always start by tracing where data is created and where it travels.
-
Custom business applications
Records, approvals, scheduling, jobs, servicing — everything that currently lives in ten spreadsheets, a shared folder and two people's heads. I turn that into one application with clear permissions, a change history, and access from desktop and mobile alike.
-
Reporting and business intelligence
Power BI reports that refresh themselves and answer the questions you actually ask — not a dashboard with twenty charts nobody opens. Agreeing what each metric means is part of the job.
-
Integration and a data foundation
Connecting the systems that don't talk to each other today: accounting, stock, e-commerce, time tracking, CRM. The goal is one place where the data is true, and an end to retyping between applications.
FlightClub
A system for flight schools, flying clubs, aircraft owners and maintenance organisations. Bookings, logbooks, training records, fleet management and operational reporting in one place.
It came about exactly as described above: from an operation running on paper logbooks, shared spreadsheets and a group chat. The Czech general aviation community continues to shape its development.
- Booking portal for students and members
- Logbooks and flight hours without retyping
- Automatic tracking of licence, medical and maintenance expiries
- Invoicing figures that reconcile
How a project runs
I don't open with a proposal for a system I've invented. I open by understanding your operation — and sometimes the conclusion is that adjusting what you have is enough.
-
Conversation and process mapping
We walk through how the work really happens today, where data originates, and what slows you down most. No commitment and no product pitch.
-
Proposal and estimate
You get a description of the solution, the scope of the first stage, and an estimate of cost and time — including what we are deliberately leaving until later.
-
A usable first version
I don't disappear for six months and return with a finished system. The aim is to get something genuinely usable into your hands early, and decide the rest from there.
-
Running and growing it
The system grows with the company. We agree what you manage yourselves and where I stay involved.
No proprietary traps
Most of the companies I work with already pay for Microsoft 365. The licences covering the Power Platform, SharePoint and Dataverse are largely sunk cost — they simply go unused.
Building on the platform you already have means a familiar environment for users, single sign-on and permissions, backup and compliance handled by Microsoft, and data that stays yours and stays portable.
- Dataverse as a secure core for company data
- Power Apps for interfaces on desktop and mobile
- Power BI reporting over the same data
- React and Node.js where the platform is the wrong fit
Tell me what's slowing you down
No commitment, no slide deck. If the conversation shows you don't need a new system, I'll say so.
